3rd/4th grades

Bitty Badgers division in the South Jersey Youth Field Hockey league

All players will learn or improve fundamentals of field hockey, plus sportsmanship, teamwork, and have teammates and make new friends all around Cherry Hill!

All players need a stick (see bottom of page for more info), mouthguard, cleats and shinguards. Eye protection (can use lacrosse goggles) recommended for safety while playing, but are not required.

8 games are played over 6 weeks: 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/15, 10/22. Games are against other towns in the South Jersey Youth Field Hockey league and are held Saturdays 8:00 am – 2:00 pm at Total Turf in Pitman or Gloucester Twp Park. All games are on turf only, so sneakers are fine to wear.

There is also a Play for a Cause League tournament over Columbus Day Weekend, 10/8 and 9 at the Gloucester Twp turf fields where we play another 4 short games.

Practices start in mid-August at Cherry Hill HS East or West, on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The registration fee for 3rd/4th is $140 per player. Payment may be made in three installments, registration, 8/1 and 9/1.

Included in each registration is a new reversible team pinnie for practices and uniform (new reversible team jersey, skirt, and 2 pairs of socks) for games.

Please inquire about coaching a team or volunteering to help! contact@cherryhillfieldhockey.org

Players this age will likely need a 28″ – 33″ stick, depending on height. We recommend going to HerSport in Cherry Hill for help with selecting the right gear for your player.

Stick should be hip height, or refer to the guidelines below:

Volunteers are highly needed for this age division! Please indicate if you can coach while registering.
